This amazing village was constructed in the 1300s and consists of cone-shaped buildings and homes which are architecturally incredible. The structures themselves greatly resemble beehives, and are considered prehistoric. They are also referred to as ‘trulli’ buildings. The town is also a commune, and is located specifically in the Bari area of Apulia. Alberobello has been deemed a UNESCO World Heritage site due to the architecture of the buildings, and has been specified as such since 1996.
